What Are Ukrainian Handcrafts?

Ukrainian handcrafts are objects made by hand in small workshops across Ukraine, using local wood, linen, clay, and metal, often carrying centuries-old sacred symbols like the tree of life, mandala, and Flower of Life. At METADESK in Kostopil, western Ukraine, our workshop was founded by Eugene Oliynyk in 2016 with partners Roman Karas (production) and Alex Danylchuk. We hand-carve wooden yoga bricks ($108), altar tables, chaban tea tables ($200-500), and wall art, keeping traditional wood-carving skills alive during wartime.
